I have recently been hearing of more perch being caught in substantial numbers..and quality sizes. Has anyone else heard this?

Shu all the perch in lake ogallala were poisoned off last year when the lake was 'renovated' for trout......

Just an FYI

Lake Ogallala

-30,000 rainbow trout have been stocked to this date...all 9"-10" in size. (growth rate largely depends on the aquatic vegetation and aquatic invertebrate presence) however, the trout are now 11"-12 1/2" long.

-20,000 yellow perch (3"-4") were delivered...and a surplus of 230,000 were additionally delivered (1"-2"). Thats a total of 250,000 yellow perch!!!

Rumor has it they are fishing up by Otter Creek in the trees @ 16 Ft of water. I can not verify that, I have not seem anyone with a lot perch. We have been picking some up in the 10-11 inch area fishing trees by Vans when we are fishing for eyes.

Default Perch

We cleaned 28 perch 8-10 inchers on Sunday. 21'-30' on the North side in the trees using a jig and a crawler.
