Default Huge Wipers

Man, it is hard to beat wipers on an 8 weight fly rod and reel. Over a day and a half, we caught 20+ wipers that averaged 7-10 lbs. One of which weighed in the 15 lb range. What a deal!!

My friends Grant and Jin, from St. Pete's Fly Shop in Ft. Collins, are fly fishing freaks. They brought their fly fishing mojo and we hammered giant wipers!! FISH ON!!

Looks like great times fellas. Wow, I don't think I've ever seen the water that calm out there.

That looks like some serious fun. I'll have to try that fly rod tech the next time I'm out there. How cool!

SWEET WIPERS! Wish i could have caught a few of those Sunday! Wrong Species, but i would have taken anything but the skunk we got! We did get one wiper that was about 4 lbs, but they don't get a check! Nice weather, and sweet pics!

I can't imagine catching wipers on a fly rod. That has to be a rush.
Great post
